AdSense "Low Value Content" Rejection: What It Means and How to Fix It
By Ramón Martínez · Updated 24 Oct 2026 · 7 min read
"Low value content" is the most common reason Google AdSense rejects a site. Google rarely explains more, but in practice it means: "we don't yet see enough original, useful content for advertisers to want to appear here."
What usually causes it
| Symptom | Why it hurts |
|---|---|
| Fewer than 15–20 posts | Not enough content to evaluate the site |
| 200–400 word articles | They don't fully answer the searcher's question |
| Rewritten or unreviewed mass-generated text | Adds nothing that doesn't already exist |
| Many near-empty pages (tags, archives, "coming soon") | They drag down the site's average quality |
| Affiliate-only or link-only pages | Content exists only to send users elsewhere |
| No author, no About page, no dates | Low trust (E-E-A-T) |
A 7-step plan to fix it
- Audit your pages. List every indexable URL and flag those under 300 words.
- Merge or remove thin pages. Several short posts on one topic are worth more as one complete guide. Remove (or
noindex) what adds nothing. - Expand key articles to 800–1,500 words with your own examples, steps, tables, images and FAQs.
- Reach 20–30 quality posts on a coherent topic. A focused blog convinces more than a scattered one.
- Show who you are: an About page with your experience, plus author and date on every post.
- Link internally to 3–5 related posts from each article so reviewers discover your depth.
- Get some organic traffic before re-applying. It isn't required, but a living site helps.
